报告题目:The Vlasov-Poisson-Boltzmann system for the whole range of cutoff soft potentials
报告人简介:肖清华博士毕业于武汉大学,现为中科院武汉物理与数学研究所副研究员,研究生导师。主要从事非线性双曲型偏微分方程的研究,在Boltzmann方程解的适定性与双曲型偏微分方程波的稳定性方面取得了一系列的成果,在SIAM J.Math.Anal, J. Stat. Phys., J. Differential Equations 等国际期刊上发表论文十余篇。
报告摘要:The dynamics of dilute electrons can be modeled by the fundamental one-species Vlasov-Poisson-Boltzmann system which describes mutual interactions of the electrons through collisions in the self-consistent electrostatic field. By introducing a new time-velocity weighted energy method and based on some new optimal temporal decay estimates on the solution itself and some of its derivatives with respect to both the spatial and the velocity variables, it is shown that the Cauchy problem of the one-species Vlasov-Poisson-Boltzmann system for all cutoff soft potentials does exist a unique global smooth solution for general initial perturbation which is assumed to be small in certain weighted Sobolev spaces. This is a joint work with Dr. Linjie Xiong and Prof. Huijiang Zhao.
