报告题目: Traveling Waves in Models for Axon
报告摘要: In this talk I will talk about how a study of traveling wave solution to the FitzHugh-Nagumo equations motivated the construction of an alternative model to Hudgkin-Huxley's equations for the giant squid axon. We will also discuss how classical results for the existence of heteroclinic orbits, singular perturbation techniques can be applied to the alternative model for the existence of impulse solutions. Numerical method will also be presented for finding such solutions.
报告人简介:邓波,美国内布拉斯加-林肯大学数学系终身教授,早期主要从事常微分方程动力系统分支理论研究,在Silnikov方法及同宿异宿轨分支问题的研究中做出了一系列基本性的工作。后期主要从事生物数学研究。
