报告题目:Optical study of quantum phenomena in two dimensional semiconductors
报告摘要:Integrated optics is an important technical avenue for quantum information processing, for which single photon sources and qubits are critical components. Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are two dimensional (2D) semiconductors that can potentially be good platforms for single photon sources and qubits. I'll provide a broad review of this field and my research on these topics. In particular, I'll talk about quantized states in 2D TMDs and integrated optics with these materials.
报告人简介:Dr. Guohua Wei got his PhD from Department of Physics and Astronomy, Northwestern University. Dr. Wei’s research focuses on optical study of quantum phenomenon in low dimensional materials. Along my PhD study, I worked on cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) with non-transverse photons in a ring resonator-quantum dot (QD) system, integrated photonics with two dimensional (2D) monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and quantum confinement of excitons in monolayer semiconductors.
