报告题目:Isoperimetric Inequalities and Geometric Measures
报告摘要:The classical isoperimetric problem is to determine a plane figure of the largest possible area with boundary of a given length and it was known in Ancient Greece. The first mathematically rigorous proof was obtained only in the 19th century by Weierstrass based on works of Bernoulli, Euler, Lagrange. Recent applications to Minkowski problem reveals connections between geometric measures and isoperimetric inequalities of convex bodies. We will discuss some applications based on some joint works with N. Fang, W. Xu and B. Zhu.
报告人简介:周家足,西南大学教授、博士生导师,主要研究方向为积分几何与凸几何,凸几何不等式等;在Proc. AMS. , Trans. AMS. , Adv. Math., Adv. Appl. Math., Sci. China Math., Acta Math. 等数学期刊上发表论文70余篇。
